Forty-sixth Session of the Commission for Social Development 6 -15 February 2008 at United Nations, NewYork hosted SIDE EVENT workshop; Participated as registered Observer, for Seventh Session of Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues, 21 April - 2 May 2008 held in United Nations, New York; Attended 16th Session of Division for Sustainable Development United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs Division for Sustainable Development for CSD, 5 -16 May 2008 in United Nations, New York; NGO President & 2 Representatives participated in ECOSOC Innovation Fair, 30 June – 3 July 2008 at AMR Civil Society Pavilion at United Nations Building New York by exhibition stall. (DCF) and the Annual Ministerial Review (AMR). for 2008 Review "Implementing the internationally agreed goals and commitments in regard to sustainable development;" 14-15 June 2010 at UN Headquarters in New York.. 'Informal Interactive Hearings of the General Assembly with Non-governmental organizations, Civil Society organizations and the Private sector; three representatives registered, including one speaker; and submitted Written Statement for Action Plan for the informal interactive hearings and for our representative to speak at the round table discussion themes.
Our NGO representatives attended meetings all held in Mumbai, India organised by MUNA (Maharashtra United Nations Organisation during 2008 to 2011; Participation In 12 Interfaith Peace Programs 2008-2011 organised by Parliament of World Religions, Temple of Understanding, United Religions Initiative, WFIRC, Indian Council for Religious Affairs and other Organisations, eg 19 October 2010 New York, United States of America – Temple of Understanding 50th Anniversary NGO Head -Hollister Awardee.
To support the Millennium Development Goal 6, to combat AIDS, Malaria & other diseases; & Goal 7, Ensure Environmental Sustainability our NGO organised Annual World Congresses of Science & Spirituality / MEDICINA ALTERNATIVA at “Cultural Centre of Russia” Mumbai, India. 19-20 January 2008, 22nd World Congress over 180 delegates from 8 countries attended. 16 -17 January 2009; 23rd World Congress, over 100 delegates from 6 countries, mainly from Russia and India. On 30-31 January 2010, 24th World Congress, over 100 delegates from 7 countries, mainly from India, attended; 29-30-31 January 2011, 25th Silver Jubilee World Congress over 150 delegates from 7 countries, Focus Themes of the World Congresses Saving Planet Earth: Peace, Environment, Health, Ancient Avestan wisdom & Vedic Vastu methods for Peace Promotion & Environmental balancing; focus Target 8 of Goal 6 and Target 10 of Goal 7, including Water purification for rural villages’ wells to provide safe drinking water, New methods to combat Malaria; for supporting the General Assembly Thematic Debate on MDGs, for MDG 6, “recognizing that objectives cannot be achieved without adequate investments in the systems that deliver better health”.
May 2009, contributed paper for AMR recommending establishment of a Global University for research in preventive health, drugless therapy methods for global public health improvement; 6-9 July 2009 in Switzerland, Geneva- participated in the 2009 Annual Ministerial Review (AMR) of the Economic and Social Council focusing on "implementing the internationally agreed goals and commitments in regard to global public health;" recommended the ESTABLISHMENT of an OPEN INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH UNIVERSITY through UNITED NATIONS/ ECOSOC /WHO/UNESCO /UNICEF Our NGO offered its land and buildings in India for this purpose to the UNITED NATIONS/ECOSOC. Additionally to above, our NGO participated and supported the achievement of the MDGs through encouraging research globally.
